Do it for Diana

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I want to share a little story about a lovely lady and one of my best friends (Hugo Bedolla), mother Diana, who has been battling cancer for the last few years now. What has changed? Well, she was getting radiation and chemo treatment but started having mini strokes from the immunotherapy. The chemo started increasing the swelling in lymph nodes and feet, making it very uncomfortable, as you can imagine. That’s not the kicker. Unfortunately, the cancer started metastasizing to her bone, brain, and other places in her body. Why are we asking for help today? The traditional cancer treatments weren’t helping, and she found an amazing place in Tempe that takes a different approach and has the research to back it up. Diana has already noticed improvements in her pain and everyday life. The problem is her insurance company won’t cover any of the treatments, and the bills are adding up fast. Like anyone, it’s hard to ask for help, so a group of us from the United Goodyear Firefighters are coming together to help with some of the Financial burdens by reaching out to our brothers & sisters in the valley and taking care of one of our own member's loved ones.
