San Diego Surfers' Rugby Road to Nationals

The San Diego Surfers have the privilege of sending, not only one but, two teams to the National Championships this year!

This is the first year, since 2010, that the Surfers' D1 team has competed towards the national title. The team has been UNDEFEATED this season and is gearing up for their chance at Nationals from June 2nd to June 4th in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Surfers' last year competing for D1 was in 2010 when they won the national title. Part of that team is leading the current team in their coaching staff of Derika Legg, Emily Ogata, and Jenny Chow, with the added support of Eagle 301, Evi Ashenbruker, and Lauren Brisbin.

Last summer, our 7's team dominated the competition and placed within the top 8 at Nationals. With a top-tier coaching staff, and two competitive teams, they are hoping to continue their tradition of competing at Nationals from August 12th to August 13th.

As a non-profit team, our team expenses are funded entirely out of pocket through fundraising, and through generous donations made by our fans and community supporters. Your contribution will be used to help fund our trips to Nationals by covering hotel, car, and food expenses for both teams.
