Hi everyone, I’m Gem.

I was recently diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder, a condition that makes me experience neurological symptoms such as weakness, movement difficulties, sensory challenges and cognitive impairment.

This diagnosis has completely turned my life upside down. I have gone from a strong independent woman to someone who needs daily care and support in order to do typical everyday things.

I am no longer able to work and I need a wheelchair to get around safely.

Unfortunately, the NHS wait times are significant and I can’t wait, nor can I fund, the wheelchairs I need in order to get a little bit of normality, freedom and enjoyment back in mine and my families life.

If anyone can help towards the cost of a new wheelchair, it would be very much appreciated.
