Support the Tovsen's

Meet Allen Tovsen. (if you haven't already). Some call him "Al", "Awen", "Ozzy Osbourne" haha kidding- though he does impersonate him well. Although quiet and somewhat reserved, he has a heck of a sense of humor and a big place in his heart for my mother. Over the years, he's been her partner in crime, driver of the road trips, and ride or die at the casino. They've enjoyed going out to dinners late at night or early morning breakfasts. They enjoy each other's companionship and easy banter. In October 2021, they decided to make it official and get hitched; looking towards their future together as Mr. and Mrs. Tovsen. We had our first family trip planned for March 2022 to California; all of us heading out West.

Allen hadn't felt well for a few months with unexplained weight loss, stomach pain, and fatigue. The trip out West proved to be too much and an early flight home landed him for a once-over in the ER back in MN. Unfortunately, a mass was spotted on his pancreas with elevated lab work. In the weeks that followed, we've learned that he does indeed have Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer with some complications. After multiple trips down to Mayo-Rochester, a treatment plan has formed. He will need to continue trips to Mayo for chemo and possibly radiation treatment. Although surgery isn't an option- we stand hopeful and strong in our faith that he will come out of this, with comfort and peace. In the meantime, if you're able, please consider supporting him and my mom, Faye, while they navigate this complicated disease and treatment plan. Prayers and thoughts are welcome, too!
