Help Ramel's Road to Recovery

When I was first admitted to the hospital, I was told I'd be covered by "no fault" insurance because of the nature of the accident. However, after my third surgery, my social worker informed me that the no fault insurance will not be processed and the truck company is exempt from insurance. Luckily, I do have health insurance but the cost of my care exceeds the amount my insurance company is willing to give and is more than what my mother and I can afford. I will not be able to work until I'm able to walk again, and there is no specific date placed on my recovery time. So far, my medical bills surpassed $50,000. I'm in the process of acquiring disability, but that can be a lengthy process and will most likely not be approved until long after I need the money.
Now that I am temporarily disabled, I have no means of paying my current bills.
I am also pursuing legal action against the truck company and driver, but since the driver lied on the police report about not seeing me, when I spoke to him briefly before the accident, he took away my ability to have full medical coverage.
This experience has been excruciatingly difficult and painful, physically and emotionally. I have had the most lovely support system, especially with the help of my mom, my step-dad, my girlfriend, and my friends. I was seriously reluctant to start this gofundme, but I really do need the financial and legal support. I am trying to fundraise $15,000 to cover my medical and housing expenses within the next 6 months, until I'm able to walk again. If anyone is in contact of a great lawyer, please let me know as soon as possible so I can try to hold the truck company accountable. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for all your support!
Kind regards,
Ramel
