In Loving Memory of my brother Joshua Feliciano

Donation protected

Hello. My name is Jason Cruz. It's with a heavy heart that I'm organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my family. On the morning of June 9th, after completing a 16 hour shift at work, my brother Joshua was found sitting unresponsive in his car by a company security guard. The Clayton County police and paramedics were immediately notified of the situation, but by the time they had arrived, it was already too late. My beloved brother had passed away at 41 years of age. The autopsy report is still pending and there was no evidence of foul play.

Joshua was an amazing young man. To know him was to love him. He was not only my younger brother and best friend, he was also a loving son to our mother, Maria; a wonderful brother to his three older siblings and two best friends, Kyle, Hendrick, Robert, Dillion, and Joel; a loyal and caring companion to his girlfriend Teresea; and a hero to his three kids, Joseph, Journey, and Mary Jane. Joshua adored his children. They were his pride and joy. He would put in long hours at work as an industrial engineer just so that his kids would want for nothing. When he had time off, Joshua would always look forward to spending his downtime with his kids. Whether it was taking longs walks with his kids on nature trails...taking his kids to a skate park...smoking Mary Jane's favorite BBQ ribs in the smoker... teaching Joseph how to weld and fabricate medal in the garage...or cultivate and grow his garden with his youngest Journey, he would always find time to maintain a strong and loving relationship with them. Life wasn't always perfect, however.

Joshua did have his struggles, but he always had the love and support of his friends and family to fall back on. He would always tell me " Jay, it's not how many times life knocks me down, but how I get back up that matters." Josh would get knocked down quite a bit over the years, but he always seemed to overcome those obstacles; and in the past six months he seemed to have finally figured it all out. He had entered into a new and healthy relationship with Teresea, had just started a new job that he loved, and just had a positive outlook on life; and it was noticeable to everyone who loved him. He was really looking forward to the next chapter in his life.

We could really the help of the GoFundMe community. The cost of shipping his body from Georgia to New Jersey, as well as the funeral services, Church Mass, and burial, is an expense our family wasn't prepared for, emotionally and financially. Joshua had only been with his new company for a month, so he wasn't entitled to death benefits; any money he had in his bank accounts will likely go to his kids; my mother is retired and receives a very small pension; and my brothers and I have been able to raise some money but it's not nearly enough. Any donations- big or small- that we receive through GoFundMe will be greatly appreciated.

Please help us bring my brother home, so that his friends and family can say their final goodbyes and we can give him the proper send off he deserves. Thank you in advance for all your love and support.
