Help Keep Our Non-profit Preschool Open!

Tax deductible
Will you join us in making a difference?
We are raising money to benefit EPNS (Encino Parents Nursery School), a local co-op that has been a wonderful place for young children to learn and parents to be involved in their children’s early education for over 30 years.

Like many other small businesses, EPNS had to close its doors on March 16 for the safety of our children and their families.

Our goal of $10,000 is to cover the amount we typically raise at our Spring fundraiser, which had to be cancelled due to the Corona Virus.

As a non-profit co-op we rely heavily on fundraising, and our biggest money maker is the Spring Fundraiser. The proceeds from that event  help to build up our reserves, and without that or tuition from the last 3 months, our school is hurting.

Now more than ever, it is important to show up for our community.
We know that in these uncertain times everyone is struggling, but any donation can make a difference and help to ensure that our doors can re-open for the 2020-2021 school year.

Thank you for your support!

WHO WE ARE:

Our beloved Teacher Joanny has been with the preschool for the last 30 years. She, along with the help of Parents, has created an environment where children can engage in early learning, develop social skills, and regulate their emotions through play and development of communication skills. One of the most special parts of the EPNS Co-Op is that Parents are involved in this early learning and exploring phase of their children's' lives. Families form bonds that last a lifetime. Children that graduate from EPNS have found great success in their elementary education and beyond.

EPNS prides itself on the diversity of our families and giving back to our community through service projects.  We aim to make tuition affordable and accessible to as many families as possible.  Parents and Children alike treat each other with kindness and cooperation. These foundations set the path for a healthy lifestyle and help to form upstanding citizens of a community.

WHY WE ARE ASKING FOR HELP:

Like many other small businesses, EPNS had to close its doors in March 2020 for the safety of our children and their families.  Our school has remained closed due to the unprecedented circumstances surrounding COVID-19.

As a non-profit co-op we rely on fundraising and tuition to cover our operating costs.   As mentioned above, we aim to make tuition affordable and accessible to as many families as possible.  In order to keep tuition low, we run nearly on a month to month basis.  The proceeds from our annual Spring Fundraiser event accounts for the majority of income for our yearly budget.  As much as possible from the annual fundraiser goes into a savings account.  With the fundraiser event canceled due to Covid-10 and no tuition being collected since school was closed in March, we are in a bind.  Our savings have been depleted.

We have applied for relief funding, but our request has not been fulfilled.  Our school is in urgent need of funds so that we can continue to keep our doors open to our community.

Our goal of $10,000 is to cover the amount we typically raise at our Spring fundraiser and that is the amount needed to stay afloat in the coming months.

USE OF FUNDS:

We pledge that all funds received through this fundraiser will be ONLY used directly for our preschool (this includes rent, utilities, insurance, and other business-related expenses).  Without additional funding it will be very difficult for our preschool to re-open once the COVID-19 crisis is over.

Any and all financial assistance will mean the World to the Parents and Children in our community... both current members, alumni and future students that could benefit from our wonderful preschool experience!

We know that in these uncertain times everyone is struggling, but any donation can make a difference and help to ensure that our doors can reopen for our children.  ANY amount of funds that you might be able to contribute will be equally appreciated!

Thank you so much for reading this and for your support!
