Hello everyone,
Spice Monkey Restaurant & Bar has been a proud member of the East Bay community since 2007. More than just a place to eat, we have been a meeting place, a venue for artists and musicians, and, for the past few years, the home of Comedy Oakland.
Like all small businesses, we prepared for ups and downs, but did not anticipate anything as traumatic as what we are experiencing in the response to the current Corona-virus pandemic. As each day passes, we are getting closer and closer to the possibility that we may not be able to make it through the quarantine period and reopen when this is over.
So, we are looking for a miracle and asking for your help. We call upon all our friends, patrons, our supporters, our community, our city, our state, and our country for help. This will be one of our defining moments. Any donation that you can contribute would be appreciated more than you can understand. Not just by me, but by the Bay Area community who were looking forward to eating our food, drinking with friends (new and old) at our bar, and attending Comedy Oakland shows to see talented comedians from all around the world up close and personal.
