Help Save a Community Legacy: Mitchell Brothers Barbershop and Hair Salon
For over 50 years, Mitchell Brothers Barbershop and Hair Salon has been a jewel of our community — a place where generations have come together not just for haircuts, but for conversation, mentorship, and connection. Founded by the late Willie Mitchell Sr., this establishment has stood as a pillar of hope, pride, and resilience.
Willie Mitchell Sr. was more than a barber — he was a passionate advocate for the community. He stepped up wherever he saw a need, mentoring countless young people and teaching them a valuable skill they could carry for life. His shop was a safe haven, a place where lost youth could find direction, dignity, and a sense of purpose.
Today, Mitchell Brothers Barbershop continues to serve the community with the same spirit and heart that Mr. Mitchell Sr. instilled. However, like many small businesses, the shop faced immense financial hardships during COVID-19. Despite the incredible challenges, we fought through and stayed open — for our neighbors, our families, and our future.
Now, we find ourselves at a crossroads. Due to lingering financial difficulties, Mitchell Brothers Barbershop and Hair Salon is at risk of closing its doors forever. We are reaching out with open hearts, asking for your support to keep this important community legacy alive.
Your donation will help us:
Cover operational expenses
Maintain and restore the historic shop
Continue providing mentorship and skill-building opportunities for local youth
Keep this irreplaceable gathering place open for future generations
Mr. Mitchell’s children are committed to honoring their father’s vision and keeping his dream alive. With your help, we can ensure that Mitchell Brothers Barbershop remains a source of strength, service, and inspiration for many years to come.
Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference.
Thank you for helping us save a true community treasure.
