Camp Tanzania 2026: Finlay Wallace

Hi, my name is Finlay,

I have been given the most incredible opportunity to travel to Tanzania with Camps International. I will be staying there for 4 weeks in July of 2026.

I will be working to help the local community through building schools, installing fresh water tanks, digging elephant water holes helping them to survive the dry season, constructing ethical elephant deterrents to protect crops, maintaining rhino sanctuaries etc in four different areas.

On this trip I will be educated on deforestation, climate change and habitat protection which I hope I can use for the benefit of the environment when I hopefully arrive there. I will be working together with the local people, to be able to find solutions and apply them to existing challenges which some of the people of Tanzania face.

This means I must do a huge amount of fundraising to be able to go on this life changing trip. I am planning to work through the summer, go on sponsored runs, sell a variety of snacks such as homemade flapjacks and cookies at my school and hopefully many other things.

I would really appreciate any donations. It would greatly help me to raise the money needed to travel to Tanzania. :)
