Ryan sustained a traumatic brain injury while riding his dirt bike on April 19, 2014. He was in a coma for over a month. Since May, he has been in intensive inpatient rehabilitation at On With Life in Ankeny, Ia. The current plan is to continue inpatient rehab as long as possible to allow Ryan to be as independent as possible prior to returning home. Ryan has a fiancé Megan Johnson and 2 boys, Grayson age 4 and Cru age 1.
