We can only apologise that just over 3 weeks since our Christmas Appeal ended, we are starting another appeal as we are once again approaching a zero bank balance over the next two weeks.

I appreciate some people may find the fact we're running yet another Appeal frustrating, may feel badgered, sick of being asked for help when people have their own financial troubles but here's why

I thought it would help you appreciate why your help is so urgently needed again so soon.

Stevie joined us last week, pictured in this Appeal. His spirit broken it was heartbreaking to see him. After a week of antibiotics and trying to gain his trust we took him to the vets today. After his vaccs, antibiotic injection, castration, felv fiv tests, microchip and dental to remove two broken teeth, some cracked teeth and some where the root was exposed our bill was just over £700, including nearly £200 for Fergus' ongoing treatment our long term Foster cat.

Monday's bill for Ana was £700 for blood tests and xrays to see if her jaw was fractured, sadly it was a tumour that had eaten away her jaw and there was no choice but to put her to sleep.

Two weeks ago Mr Capponi had an operation to reverse his very painful inverted eyelids and was castrated at the same time £650

Three weeks ago we vaccinated Charlie, Mowgli and Belle. £132

On Friday we're vaccinating Muffin and Smudge. £88

In two weeks we're neutering and microchipping Mowgli, Belle and Muffin £265.

It's just non stop, some of the states the cats are in after fighting to survive on the streets are heart-rending. Having to put Ana to sleep was utterly heartbreaking. The love she wanted to give, despite being in such pain was so pure, she so deserved that chance of having her love returned after having to survive on the streets in that state, and she'd clearly been owned previously. Not being able to save her and give her that chance has literally destroyed a part or me. Rescue is mentally very hard, the things you witness can be brutal, constant worry over bills, feeling guilty keep asking for funding. But here's why it's worth it, that first head butt from a cat that on arrival was too traumatised to trust, the purr when warm and tucking in to their dinner, watching street cats learning to play, seeing them return to health, the light return to their eyes, the pictures of them loved and settled in their new homes.

So if you're not fed up of us keep asking, and are able to help, any donation will be hugely appreciated.

Your donations will help us continue to carry on helping cats like those above.

Thank you
Sam and all the volunteers who help me and work hard to bring happiness to the cats in our care.
