some of you may know our twins charlie and penny.

They are our babies and we love them more than anything.

Penny recently had a cyst on her toe that kept growing and growing. We finally got an appointment to get it removed and biopsied (just in case) and that cost 2,000 dollars. We assumed it was benign and went on with life.

We got a call that friday after the surgery that it was malignant and penny had carcinoma. They suggested an animal oncologist to see what our options are. We were a wreck for a while but tried to stay positive. penny is sweet, loving, so silly and lively so cancer seems so out of left field.

our current dilemma is after spending close to 4,000 dollars on diagnosis and with me being a full time student while also doing research and andrea being our sole support system we have exhausted our savings. we hate asking but at this point are not sure what to do.

we currently need to do a CT scan for her lungs and paws to see if it has spread because this type of cancer, in cats, can travel to the lungs quickly. The CT scan alone is 1500 dollars but this would help us determine what type of chemo, if any is needed next. If the CT is clean then the surgery was able to get all of the tumor if it isnt then chemo is next. Any sort of support or advice would be super helpful.
