Support for Walker June

Do you ever feel like your hands are tied? Or there’s nothing you can do to help? Here’s your chance.

This is Walker June Higgins. Born with Hydrops fetalis at 29 weeks in September 2022, Walker has overcome the nearly impossible and is still fighting everyday. The wonderful medical team at OU Children’s did all they could and our little Walker June was transferred to Texas Children’s in hopes of an opportunity to heal her little body. The Texas team has been amazing and go above and beyond to collaborate with experts around the world to find a cure. She has undergone several pleurodesis procedures to treat the chylothorax all of which were successful but created intense fluid retention. The hope now is that trialing her on a medication could have some benefit but this requires additional monitoring in the NICU in Texas. It’s just a long process! Mike and Karleigh have not left Dallas. They have survived thus far by God’s grace and generous friends and family!! They are so humbled and overwhelmed by the love & support. Their savings is getting thin, and we don’t really have an end in sight. The cost of living in OKC while staying in Dallas is tough. Walker and her family are asking for assistance to cover the hotel for the coming months so her parents can stay by her side. Please donate what you can. We are all praying for a full recovery for this little angel that’s anxious to someday leave the hospital.
