Jamiel was the founder of Blockchain NYC, a professor of machine learning at Columbia Business School and other institutions, and a mentor who genuinely changed lives.

He had this rare gift of making people feel heard, understood, and somehow lighter — even in their darkest moments. He was the friend who made you laugh when you wanted to cry, the mentor who stayed late to help you succeed, the person who showed up, every single time.
