Why do some dogs get adopted before their picture is even published and other dogs end up staying at the rescue waiting for their forever home for months or even years?  Is it Age, Breed, Color, Shyness?  We always say they are waiting for their special human to come along and show they are worthy of their love.

Whatever the reason, these dogs become some of the favorites with the volunteers.  We are lucky enough to spend time with them and learn what great dogs they are.  

Usually when one of our long term dogs is adopted we get great stories back on what amazing dogs they are and they can't believe they weren't adopted sooner. 

This holiday season we are asking for sponsors to cover the costs of some of our longer-term dogs.  Some have been here for a long time and some are fairly recent, but they are all amazing when given a chance.
