Our beloved Nathan had a "significant" stroke. Thank GOD there was no cognitive damage, but his entire left side went limp. In the first couple weeks of this ordeal, he could not move his leg or arm on that side. He overstayed at the hospital because of the pandemic and red tape. He is improving now that he is at an acute rehab center. Without going into deep explanation, this is definitely a huge bonus. Acute rehab equates to 3 or 4 hours a day of treatment. He unfortunately has to still go through this part alone because no one, including me, his partner. Full recovery will be a long road.
Insurance will cover hospital and rehab costs, but we do still have our regular life expenses. We are reaching out for help. To those who are on his Lotsa Helping Hands page, we cannot set up fundraising on it. There, you can help with food or with keeping Nathan company when I am at work. I am hoping for a wider net here. The tasks page will be up and running when he comes home.
The healer/helper that we all know and care for is the one that needs our help now. Obviously, no pressure. Everyone has less in their pockets these days. I covet your prayers and good vibes. Please consider donating whether it is in the form of time, food, or funds. Thank you to all that have already sent help...Love always has a way of surprising those who wish to explore its depths.
