6 years ago maggie endured many hardships at the young age of 12 years old. She had many strokes and almost lost her life. Maggie is diagnosed with a rare disease called takayasus arteritis, which is an autoimmune disease that inflames the major arteries in the body. Maggie also battles ulcerative colitis and von willebrands disorder. Maggie is currently out of remission with her ulcerative colitis and is struggling immensely. She is a student prepping to become a nurse and works extremely hard. She unfortunately has to withdrawal from CCSU to prepare and have a colectomy.
