Broussard Family House Fire
Donation protected
Hello, as some of you may know, in the afternoon hours of July 30th, my late grandparent's homestead (Leo and Theresa Broussard) suffered a major fire. The home is no longer liveable and will likely have to be torn down. This saddens my family and I, as this home served for many years as the basis of numerous childhood memories. Fortunately, everyone was able to get out of the fire alive.
My uncle Joe Broussard and his partner Russ called this memory filled homestead their home for many years and have lost a substantial amount of their belongings to the fire. Finances are a major concern for them moving forward, and there will be a lot of stress in the foreseeable future with regards to replacing belongings, finding a new home, dealing with injuries related to the fire, and general health and well-being after this traumatic event.
The funds raised will be used to help cover the cost of replacing many lost items (clothes, furniture, appliances, etc.), assisting with financial matters associated with the fire/dealing with the home, and other costs related to being displaced by this house fire. Unfortunately, there is no insurance to help assist with the costs.
Thank you all in advance for donating or sharing this story to help in this time of need.
Many Thanks and Much Love,
The Broussard Family
