Tax deductible
Jewish Voice for Peace Cleveland, Jewish Voice for Peace Central Ohio, Northern New Jersey Jewish Voice for Peace, Jewish Voice for Peace Los Angeles and UCC-Palestine Israel Network OH are cosponsoring this fund raiser to help equip Shepherds’ Field Hospital, a Palestinian hospital near Bethlehem and the storied fields of shepherds and angels, with much needed medical equipment. Help make a difference!
The Situation:
· COVID-19 is over-whelming the minimal resources available to Palestinians under military occupation.
· The Cooperative Society for Health Welfare — which includes Shepherds’ Field Hospital – is out of money.
· The modest Shepherds' Field Hospital, http://shepherd-hospital.org/ must equip its new addition.
The Hospital’s Goal: to complete the hospital expansion project with critical equipment:
· Washing, disinfecting and sterilization equipment.
· Anesthesia machines.
· Ventilators for adult, pediatric and neonate.
· ICU Monitors.
· Imaging equipment.
The Non-Profit Cooperative:
· Administers the Hospital and provides help and health care for those in need. More than 200,000 people are distributed among three towns, three refugee camps, 32 villages and communities, and surrounding villages from Hebron and Jerusalem Governorates.
· Offers hospital fees 30-50% less than similar health services in the region. Social cases and poor families receive healthcare services free of charge. Monthly, 45-50 social cases are treated in cooperation with charitable organizations, church-based societies such as Pontifical Mission, Caritas, Bible College, Latin Patriarchate, and community donations.
Their Vision: High-quality, affordable health care is a basic human right; all social groups have the right to access health care services.
Their Mission: To provide affordable, high quality health services to the Cooperative’s members and the larger community.
YOUR Part: Your donations will go a long way!
