We’re Matt and Anna and we need help for our cat, Tony.

A few days ago, Tony suffered a tear in his mesentery and had to undergo abdominal surgery. After several days on medication, his condition got much worse. He stopped eating and drinking, and then reached a point where he could not keep anything down.

We rushed him to the emergency vet when our primary vet was closed. After 10 hours of emergency care, we left with a total vet bill of $8,000.

Tony is more than a pet to us. He was a stray we rescued two years ago, and since then he has become part of our family. When he got this sick, we knew we had to do everything possible to help him.

Tony is currently hospitalized and staying under 24 hour care. We are not out of the woods yet, and his treatment is still ongoing.

Saving him came first, even though the cost forced us into painful financial choices and loans.
