Support Maria Manjarrez

Hello my name is Maria Lane Manjarrez, and I am 28 years old. I am a single parent of a beautiful 2 year old little girl named Isabella. Bella means the world to me, and I pride myself on being a strong, hardworking, independent Mother. I have a hard time asking for help, or letting someone lend a hand. I am a server in my community, working doubles, 3 to 4 days a week , to support my daughter and myself. Recently I started experiencing pain in my feet, and I originally thought it was from working doubles. Then the pain became more excruciating, and numbness began in my fingers and face. I had no idea what was causing this pain. I still attempted to work the next couple of days, but at one point was shaking from the pain. I was sent home. Needless to say I had to take time off of work, because I could no longer effectively do my job. After staying at home for another day, the pain began to worsen, so I was admitted to the hospital with no insurance coverage.

This has caused me to lose income to support my daughter and self. I’m concerned.

Once admitted, I saw many doctors, immediate tests, MRI, trying to find the cause of my severe pain.

The doctors diagnosis is a condition called Polyneuropathy which is a general degeneration of peripheral nerves that spread toward the center of your body, ultimately impairing your movement, causing excruciating pain in my feet. Whew. Recovery will be weeks to months.

Because of all of this, I won’t be able to work for the next couple of months while recovering.
