Dear Family and Friends,

I’m reaching out to each of you today, with much love and hope in my heart, to ask for your help to raise enough money for Hector Carbajal Barrios to get the life-saving surgery he urgently needs. I had the pleasure of meeting Hector in August 2024, when my sister, Evelyn married his stepson, Marvin. He is a kind, hard-working man who lends a hand to those in need and would go to the ends of the earth for his family. Now, he needs compassion and support he so often gave to others. Please consider donating what you can, to help Hector fight cancer. Every contribution gets him one step closer to surgery and recovery. In supporting Hector, you will also be helping to provide more hope and stress relief for his family. Below is the message they want to share about him and the current circumstances.

Our beloved family member Hector Carbajal Barrios has recently been diagnosed with liver cancer, and our family is heartbroken. He is the rock of our family, someone who has always given so much to others with kindness, strength, and quiet resilience. He is a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle to many who love him deeply. He is an active member in his church and the sole provider for his wife. Hector worked serving his community for many years but will no longer be able to do so.

Hector and his family came to the U.S. to visit their children. When he got here, he got ill and had to be hospitalized for several days due to having a blood clot in his leg. The doctors ran many tests and said that he has a cancerous mass on his liver and needs treatment right away.

Since Hector is not from the U.S. and can't afford to pay out-of-pocket , he is unable to seek treatment here in the United States. After undergoing treatment for his blood clot, Hector and his wife, Herminda, thought it best to return to their home in Mexico to get the necessary treatments. As he begins treatment, the medical bills, travel costs, and day-to-day expenses are quickly becoming overwhelming.

We want to do everything we can to support him during this difficult time so that he can focus on healing and spending time with those he loves. If you are able to contribute, no matter how small, it would mean the world to us.
