Saving A Mother’s Life

Since 2017 I’ve been hospitalized over 11 times due to kidney infections, 3 of which have led to sepsis. So far no one has been able to figure out what exactly is causing the chronic kidney infections and I am now drowning in over $50,000 in medical bills due to my insurance not covering everything. I’m a full time student and work full time at the hospital all while raising 3 amazing kids (4 year old twins and a 2 year old). As you can probably guess, the constant hospitalization and decline in my health has greatly impacted my life. I’ve lost a few jobs over the years due to ending up in the hospital every 2-3 months and am currently on the verge of losing my current job. Being chronically sick has interfered with my parenting and there are times where the pain is so crippling that my parents have to watch my kids for however long it takes for me to heal and that alone affects not only my life, but my kids and my family as well. A step that we’re trying to take for me to get better is for me to get a cystoscopy done, but with my insurance I still have to pay $619 to get the procedure done, which I can not afford now or anytime soon. I also need an ultrasound of my lymph nodes to rule out cancer and an appointment with the immunologist/allergist to rule out everything else. My last visit to the hospital was 06/02/2020 and my health continues to decline. I am in desperate need of this procedure to finally be healthy again and to be able to provide for my family without the limitations and hardship.
