Operation Restoration a New Life for Ford

Donation protected
The quick version is last March 29th 2018, Ford and myself and my 4 other children were playing with some friends at their community pool on “spring break”... one of my children had to use the restroom so I asked the “friend” I was with to keep an eye on Ford while I stepped away for a few minutes- upon returning I didn’t see Ford with the other children and immediately rushed to the pool side and found my energetic, sweet beautiful 2.5 year old little boy floating face down in the water- I immediately jumped in and pulled him out and realized he was lifeless and completely blue so I began CPR and screaming for help and someone to call 911- well God stepped in immediately and brought an army of amazing first responders who arrived in record time and held off traffic at every single light between the community pool and the hospital to get us there as he was clinging to life through every labored breath. Upon arrival at the hospital Ford was still with us and the Emergency room doctor took over care, when within a few minutes of him trying to place a breathing tube, (life support) Fords body went in to cardiac arrest and he lost his pulse 3 times over the next 90 minutes and flat lined and was pronounced dead, after suffering two more cardiac arrests- he suffered what’s called an Anoxic Brain injury and what we’d later find out would leave him unable to walk, talk, or to voluntarily move his limbs... but before that an Angel nurse lifted her hand to check one last time for a pulse and as the story would go from here on out- she found one- Ford had God on his side and was showing us and the Medical profession the equivalent to a “Not today Satan” moment- he was barely stabilized but enough to be life flighted down to Rady Children’s hospital where he and my husband and I and our 4 other children would spend the next four months- he spent 8 weeks on life support in the ICU and another 8 weeks in rehab- he has made remarkable progress but is still completely dependent on someone else for care-that’s where you all come in, WE NEED your prayers! We have seen miracles large and small come about by and through them! You can find me on Facebook if you search Sabrina Leiferman Velasquez- or also A New life for Ford Fundraising page- we know one day we’ll have our son back, but it’s going to take so many prayers, great Faith and a huge amount of fundraising because insurance won’t cover any of the life saving therapies we know will help Ford- we have up to $150,000 to raise just for therapies to take place in the next 8 months- we also KNOW where God guides, he provides, and he’s brought you all now to our Army! So welcome! Please stick around- I promise you’ll fall in love with our little boy and his lion heart and his fight and determination to overcome and be a mighty soldier in Gods Army! He is the very definition of “Built Ford Tough.” Ive attached a few photos of our family and ford before the accident, during the hospital stay and Current as he gives one heck of a fight to keep recovering! Please find me on social media so you can follow along! He’s truly a MIRACLE and we KNOW God’s NOT done yet!

With gratitude, love and prayers for you all,

We welcome you to our Army,
