A Mother's Anguish!

Meet Chris, my cherished son, the beacon that brightens my every morning. Recently, my days have been shrouded in darkness as my beloved child lies in the hospital, having lost all four limbs. Chris, once brimming with vitality and affection, now faces a stark reality. A young man who held a steady job, collaborated on construction projects alongside my partner, and relished in games of pool, now finds these joys beyond his reach.
Diagnosed with sepsis coursing through his veins on February 26th, Chris was placed on life support. Through the power of prayer and his indomitable will to survive, he emerged from the coma. However, he emerged altered, unable to walk or wield his hands.
His hearing loss adds another layer of complexity to an already challenging journey towards rehabilitation and adaptation. It amplifies his sense of isolation, making him feel even more disconnected from the world around him.
My heart aches as I witness my son's once vibrant spirit reduced to a mere shadow of its former self. He, who once harbored dreams and reveled in life's possibilities, now faces a future confined to a wheelchair, burdened by his limitations and the weight of dependence.
I appeal to the kindness residing in every compassionate soul to lend a hand in helping Chris reclaim a semblance of normalcy. Prosthetic care in Canada comes at a considerable cost, and any contribution, no matter how small, would be gratefully received.
This plea emanates from a mother's anguish, her heart shattered at the sight of her son emerging from surgery devoid of his limbs. Despite my fervent prayers, I find solace elusive. If only I could trade places with him, to bear his pain and despair, I would do so in a heartbeat.
