Rod Roderick's Stem Cell Fund

Hello,
My name is Rod Roderick and I would like to share my thoughts about the disease I am fighting on a daily basis. It is called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.  I have been going back and forth to Duke Hospital and the Veterans hospital receiving treatment for quite some time.
Some of the symptoms are shortness of breath, spasms, coughing, and many side-effects from medication.   At this time, the doctors tell me there is no cure for the disease but there is medicine to slow down the progression, which limits me from being able to lead a normal life.   I found a website on Facebook called The Lung Institute, which has been doing research on stem cells to treat the chronic inflammation, slow progression of disease, repair lung tissue, and improve the quality of life.   So, my friend Doctor Gerianne Geszler and Tae Kwon Do class are working on putting together a fundraiser to help me get enough funds to travel to The Lung Institute and receive the stem cell treatment. There is no insurance coverage, so I need some help in raising enough funds to help pay for the treatment.
