Stand with Ashley in Her Health Battle

Hi everyone!! My name is Tifanny, and my baby sister, Ashley, has been hospitalized for 14 days today (6/17).

Ashley is 18 years old, a recent high school graduate, a hard worker with two jobs, and an amazing sister and daughter.

About three weeks ago, she started developing 104 degree fevers, low appetite, chills, and weakness. After several ER visits to three different hospitals, appointments with her primary care, and rounds of antibiotics, nothing was working.

She was finally admitted 14 days ago to a hospital in MD, where they ran countless X-rays, CT scans (with and without contrast), MRIs, blood tests, cultures, everything you can think of, they ran it. As we waited for each test to result, my baby sister has only gotten weaker, only for each test to come back negative. For those who don’t know, I am a registered nurse at INOVA, and even I, am at a loss.

She is still having fevers, chills, weakness, almost no appetite. My sibilings, my mom, and stepdad have been doing our rounds, missing work, taking shifts, trying to keep our heads above water.

Ashley has lost 14lbs in three weeks.

We were finally able to transfer her to INOVA Fairfax last night. I’m hopeful that my INOVA family will help us find answers soon.

At this point, we just want answers, but insurance only covers so much. As a family, we’ve decided to start this fundraiser to help with the medical costs. Anything helps, even if it’s just prayers and your presence during these difficult times. Thank you for taking the time to read this,
