On September 4,2023 after being relieved of duty, Firefighter Jared Byrd was involved in a rollover motor vehicle accident. FF Byrd sustained multiple traumatic injuries, undergone multiple surgeries and is currently still hospitalized at TEMPLE University. He is facing a LONG road to recovery and is not in the Cat Bank. His accrued time is going to expire November 16,2023. FF Byrd graduated from Class 199 and is assigned to Ladder 9 on the C platoon.
