In recent weeks, devastating floods have swept across Punjab, displacing families, destroying homes, and leaving entire communities struggling to access food, clean water, and medical care. Thousands of flood victims are facing unimaginable hardship, with many having lost everything.
As the Sikh Student Association at the University of British Columbia, we feel a deep responsibility to come together in seva (selfless service) during this time of crisis. Our goal is to raise funds to provide urgent relief for flood victims in Punjab.
We are partnering with SAF International, with help of RED FM Canada, to ensure that donations directly support those in need. Funds raised will go toward:
- Providing immediate relief such as food, clean water, and hygiene supplies for flood victims.
- Supporting medical assistance and essential care for affected families.
- Assisting with rebuilding efforts including temporary shelters and long-term recovery projects.
- Addressing the aftermath of the floods, helping families restore stability and dignity in their lives.
This is a time for us to embody the Sikh values of compassion, community, and service. Together, we can make a meaningful difference for families who urgently need our help.
Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with your networks.
