Hello everyone. I have created this Go Fund Me account on behalf of my uncle Uriel Reyes Navarro. He was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer the first week of January 2025, during an ER visit which he thought was just a bad flu. This came as a complete shock since he is not a smoker, however he has done a lot of farm labor and construction work which may have put him at risk. Since then he was started on a combination of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation. He was diagnosed very late unfortunately, so the cancer has metastasized to many other areas of his body, however, he is choosing to fight hard and is ready for any treatment options available to him. Being given a diagnosis like this has completely changed his life. He has not been able to work since his hospitalization in January. This has been a very difficult transition for him, as he has always been a provider for his family. At this time his priority should be on his health and not on how he is going to pay bills. He is also traveling to San Francisco for his treatments, which is another financial struggle.

He is one of the kindest humans I have experienced in my life. I got to spend a lot of quality time with him as a child. He always made sure to do many memorable activities with me and my siblings and always made sure we were well taken care of and happy. He is someone who brought a lot of joy to my life as a child, and was always a safe place. I know that these qualities about him followed him into fatherhood after he had children of his own. He is a hardworking individual with such a gentle soul. I can’t think of a person more deserving of help during such a difficult time in his life.

He is 57 years old, living in Tulare, CA, and has three children, Samantha, Melissa, and Andrew Reyes. He also has one grandson named Jaden.

I also wanted to give his three children the opportunity to share more about their dad. I don’t think anyone knows him better than they do.

Hello, my name is Samantha the daughter of Uriel Reyes. My dad is the best father I could have ever asked for. He gives me so much love and support in everything I do . Since I was little he’s supported any sport I’ve ever wanted to do. To taking me to dance practice and showing up to every single recital. I am the person I am today because of my father. He has shown up for me in ways I can’t even explain. He is the definition of a good person. He loves his family so much. He has shown me what unconditional love is. The last thing I would want him to worry about is medical bills when he is using all his strength to fight this. If you can donate my family would really appreciate it.

Hello my name is Andrew Reyes , the son of Uriel Reyes . I’m the son of a hard working Mexican man that has worked his whole life to improve the life of others and his of his children. My dad has provided every last penny he has earned to make sure his loved ones are taken care of. He has sacrificed so much for us and I’m forever thankful for that . He is my hero who I love with my whole heart.

Hello my name is Melissa the daughter of Uriel my dad is my hero, inspiration, and one of my best friends. The love i have for my father is more than what words could describe. I have achieved so much thanks to my father who always showed and taught me the importance of education and hard work. My dad is one of the hardest workers who never takes breaks, and puts in his all with everything he does. He is the most caring and loving person in this world. He is the best father and grandfather anyone could ever ask for.

Our dad has also been the best grandpa to Jaden. He gives him so much love. Piggy back rides and tickles. To just enjoying his company and watching Spiderman. Even with his sickness he still manages to play and goof around with Jaden .
