Hi, I’m Trey’s sister, Shannan.

On January 12, after months of intractable headaches, Trey (while at work) suffered a medical emergency and was rushed to Sharp Grossmont Hospital.

Five days later, he had a lemon-sized mass removed from his right frontal brain lobe. He was fortunate to have one of the country’s top neurosurgeons, perform his procedure. Thank you, Dr. Udani.

While we are still waiting for pathology specifics, he has been diagnosed with a high grade glioma. This translates to malignant, aggressive brain cancer.

We’ve set up this GoFundMe, in the hopes of helping, while Trey undergoes chemotherapy and radiation.

I’d like to acknowledge the love, support, daily phone calls and fervent prayers of our family and friends that have truly been with us, every step of the way…especially our beloved Uncle Mark, who came out to San Diego and let us lean on him during the surgery and hospital stay.

Thank you to Trey’s co-workers at Guitar Center. Their fast action, most likely, saved his life.

Trey is a father to Greta, a beautiful six year old who is definitely daddy’s girl. Their bond is unbreakable. They have probably been to every playground in San Diego. I’d like to say how humbled I’ve been to have been contacted & supported by so many while dealing with this jarring event. I really appreciate and am thankful for my friends and their well wishes & support during this time. It means so much and I’m honestly shocked by the amount of love & support I’ve received. Thank you all so much. And, big thanks to the Doctors & Nurses at Sharp Grossmont Hospital for their competence, dedication & care. The team there were patient, kind & tireless in their dedication to getting me healthy and keeping me comfortable. I am lucky that’s where I ended up.

So, The goal here is to try to get support for normal life expenses (rent, monthly bills for a short period of time) & the initial medical costs already incurred. Hopefully we can get through (smoothly as possible) the treatment/recovery period and hopefully come out well & healthy on the other side. Any amount is appreciated & helpful.
