On February 6th, 2023, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck people living in Syria and Turkey. The earthquake has left many civilians without shelter, food, and in desperate need of medical supplies. The proceeds from your donations will go directly to UNICEF USA. From there they will distribute the money to address the needs of the people living in these areas.

The two students organizing this fundraiser are named Ramzi Dajani and Eric Ho. Both come from California, another place that is prone to earthquakes. Seeing this tragedy unfold felt very personal to the two of them. Ramzi, an Arab and Muslim felt personally saddened by seeing people like him have to endure this loss. As a bay area citizen, Eric, also felt disturbed as he knew that a potentially similar scenario could occur in his very home town.
