Baby Broden

Recently, my family welcomed a baby boy named Broden Lucas Welch. His time with us was cut much too short due to circumstances out of our control and God called him home. He was born on July 17th, 2015 with Trisomy 13. He was able to spend an hour with his mommy and
daddy, be baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith, and show our whole family what life can truly mean in such a short time. My sister, Brooke, and her husband, Denny, were able to hold his little hands, kiss his sweet cheeks and watch him wiggle his nose and move his lips. Broden knew so much love in his short life and for that we are grateful. We laid him to rest on July 22nd, 2015 surrounded by family and loved ones and a beautiful service for a celebration of life. My sister Brooke is a true hero beyond measure. She and her husband have endured so much throughout this trying experience, more than any parent should have to. Brooke is so courageous and strong-- she carried Broden almost to full term, all the while knowing his dire prognosis and still continuing to place her faith and trust in God. She has inspired so many with her faith, her love for her son and her entire family, all the while knowing that she would have to say good bye to her sweet baby boy. Throughout the last few months trying to prepare for the task ahead, Brooke continued to lift others spirits, thank God for the ability to love and live, and encourage others with her thoughts and kind words. For that I would now like to extend a helping hand to her and her husband to help cover the costs of Broden's funeral. If you can find it in your heart to pitch in, I know she and Denny both would be eternally grateful, as would I and my whole family.
I would like to personally thank everyone of you for your love and generosity in this most trying of times.
