Our precious sister Ashleigh has courageously fought a good fight and sadly on Tuesday 26th January her journey has alas come to an end.
From the youngest age Ash was a fighter and even through her toughest battle with cancer she took on her fears and challenges with grace and dignity.
Her life and memories have inspired so many of us who have walked alongside her and these words written by Rachel Akidi perfectly encapsulate our beloved Tinkerbell…
Ashleigh always said it was God who had the final say”. She stretched her faith and did not waver even during some very difficult moments. She said whatever happened, victory belonged to the Lord.
She handled this journey with so much Grace and humour, and always reminded me to live each day purposefully and with gratitude.
She was very grateful that she got to be celebrated while she was alive, and was overwhelmed by the prayers, fasting, encouragement and outpouring of love she received from family, friends and people she’d never even met. In all this, Ashleigh was just being Ashleigh. What an incredible legacy! Sleep well Ash. ❤️ It is well. #Psalm 118
