Hailey Huffman, age 11, died Saturday, December 9th, 2023.
Hailey was a very intelligent and beautiful girl who enjoyed cooking at her moms house, working on crafts, and loved being a big sister. She was a science enthusiast and member of the orchestra as a violin player. Classmates referred to her as the definition of going above and beyond.
Hailey was the oldest of 8 cousins and played an extraordinary role in their lives. Her infectious smile is the essence of happiness that will forever live on in our hearts.
Here is a quote from Hailey's great grandmother which is posted on social media:
"The family is in turmoil trying to explain Hailey's loss to the other 7 great grandchildren. How do you bear this tragedy? In this morning meditation,
God answered me. This is what I heard Him say:
In the different seasons of life, we will face many challenges and trials. We will not escape without suffering. We won't be able
to avoid pain. If we wanted to stay away from heartbreak, we would have to insulate ourselves from love. And a life without love is no life at all.
An apathetic existence is empty of meaning and devoid of the great expanse of emotions that we were given to experience.
May we remember that love requires courage. Let us be strong, for God is with us through it all. He is with us wherever we go, in whatever we experience. Take heart today!"
Hailey's mother, Devin, is devastated by her loss and is seeking an investigation into the death of Hailey.
Devin was not prepared for the high cost of retaining a lawyer to pursue this investigation.
It is with courage and love that we appeal for donations to cover the mounting lawyer and investigation fees. We sincerely thank those who consider donating.
While Hailey's family is enduring so much pain they shouldn't have to worry about lawyers or any other fees. In the season of giving, if you find it in your heart to help we thank you sincerely!
