Last year, I lost my dad, Michael Hocter, to stomach cancer after a short but devastating battle. It all happened so quickly — one moment we were making everyday plans, and the next we were faced with something we never could have imagined. Losing him has left a space in my life that can never truly be filled.
My dad was strong, kind, and full of love. He had a quiet strength and a generous heart — always there when someone needed him. Watching him go through something so painful was heartbreaking, and no one should have to experience that. Stomach cancer is aggressive, often silent until it’s too late, and yet it doesn’t receive nearly the attention or funding it deserves.
In his memory, I’m asking for your help. Whether it’s a donation or just a share, every little bit helps raise awareness, fund critical research, and support families who are fighting this disease right now.
Thank you for reading, for remembering Michael with me, and for helping turn loss into hope. Let’s make sure others have a better chance than he did.
