Keeshia's Fight Against Osteosarcoma

Hi! A shared post from a friend or relative might have brought you here. My name is Keeshia Adducul. I'm 27 years old. I was working as one of the cooks in Ryu Ramen until this all happened. To be honest, I have never imagined myself writing this but I hope you'll find time to read this lengthy post of mine. This is my story on how I recently got diagnosed with High-Grade Osteosarcoma Stage 2B cancer and how I'm determined to beat it.
It was early last year when I unexpectedly felt severe pain in my left thigh. I thought it was just one of those instances that will just pass by until it got disturbing. I decided to see a couple of doctors and got myself checked. They told me that I have Sciatica and advised me to undergo rehabilitation therapy. However, when I was about to start with the program, my rehab doctor re-assessed my situation and asked me to go through a CT scan and x-ray. The results came out and unfortunately, they found a bone cyst.
They forwarded me to an Orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Sison. He requested an MRI. The findings indicated that my left femur is already damaged. It was already eating up my bone causing it to be very brittle. They instructed me to not to put any weight on it. However, I was stubborn. I insisted on going to work since I also needed money to continue with all the operations needed.
They were planning to do a bone grafting — which means placing an artificial bone on the damaged thigh, so I can walk without fracturing it. The doctors were quite confident that it wasn't cancerous, but they did ask for an open biopsy procedure to make sure. I was scheduled to have the biopsy on a Thursday but, I felt terrible pain four days before the appointment. We decided to go to the hospital the next day. Last July 8, I underwent the procedure. They divided the specimen into two. One went for investigation under Philippine Orthopedic Center (POC), the other one remained at Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) where I was admitted. The two hospitals got different findings — POC thought it was Osteosarcoma while it was Ewings Sarcoma for VMMC. However, one thing is sure. That is, I have cancer.
We had our third opinion at St. Lukes Medical Center using the specimen from POC. It was then that it was confirmed that I have High-Grade Osteosarcoma cancer with Chondroblastic features. This is also when I started using crutches and worse, wheelchair. Dr. Sison introduced me to an Oncologist, Dr. Querol. Discussions on cancer began. He said that I needed to undergo 12 rounds of chemotherapy. After that, I still need to have surgery to rehabilitate my bone as they are trying to avoid amputation.
Since I stopped working due to my condition, I have no other means of income. I don't have any health care benefits to reduce costs. I might not be able to come back to work until late next year. This depends also on the results of the operations.
I know some of you may not know me personally but I humbly ask for your financial assistance to help me cover my medical expenses. The chemotherapy will most likely cost around 150k per cycle. PET/CT scans which are approximately 60k and other tests needed will be continuously done. We're still not yet sure how much the surgery will cost.
The numbers might be high but my faith is stronger. This might sound too much but I'd appreciate the help if you're able to contribute. I assure you that all help will be put into all medical expenses. No amount of money will be put into waste.
I am hoping and praying to survive this challenge, to be able to walk again, to be able to travel with family and friends, to be able to work again, to pursue my dreams of owning a restaurant, to get married and to have children on my own. I'm positive that I'll surpass this problem with all the people surrounding me throughout this journey.
