Fight against sexual harassment

Hello,

I'm remaining anonymous due to ongoing investigations between my workplace and I.

After a year of sexual harassment from my male manager at work, it recently came out in the workplace. My employer has sided with the manager which, after experiencing domestic violence previously, has broken my soul and I can no longer stand by and let these types of thing happen. I am fighting to remain employed but am hanging by a thread financially.

Due to the fact I am not under a misconduct investigation, my employer has suspended me without pay. The manager is also suspended, but as he is under a misconduct investigation he is being paid.

Without realising the motive, I was sent to a psychiatrist to assess my fitness to work. They have deemed me not fit. I am doing everything in my power to change this.

As I am technically still employed, contractually I am not able to be employed elsewhere.

My options are to quit and find other employment, which feels like I would be telling myself that I am not worth fighting for. Or to continue to fight and tell my employer it is not okay to stand with perpetrators who prey on vunerable women. It would kill me to know that this could happen to another person.

I am asking if anyone out there has any spare change to share, I have very little funds at this point and am waiting for worksafe investigation to be finalised early next month. I am just trying to cover my rent and bills for me and my little dog. I'm not eating very often as I am so scared I will be homeless. I also do not have financial support from family.

I also want to note that I know there are some beautiful men out there that would never hurt women, and I am sorry that at times you get painted with the same brush as the bad guys. It is not fair that we live in a world like this and I can't stand by and let this continue.

Any excess funds will be going to charity to help other women in crisis.
