Hurricane Laura Devastation
Donation protected
Nichole is my daughter. She lived in Lake Charles, Louisiana and is employed with the Calcasieu Parish School Board as a Special Education Teacher for 1-4th grade. On Wednesday, August 28, 2020, Nichole packed what belongings that would fit in her car and along with her two children( Kenson and Karlee) and drove to Branson, Missouri to escape hurricane Laura, the worst hurricane to ever hit Lake Charles. Upon Nichole’s return to Lake Charles she found out that her very first home (that she purchased less than 2 months ago) has been destroyed, along with all of her furniture and possessions. Also, 97% of all the schools in Calcasieu Parish have significant damages and are closed until further notice. She has very limited funds and is staying in Houston with me and as soon as we have electricity at my house, in Lake Arthur, LA, she will stay there until we are able to find her a rental. She has no furniture or essentials currently, to furnish whatever she rents, so I am asking for any amount of money that you can give to help Nichole until she can figure out where her next home will be. Thank you and God Bless.
