For those who may not know our story, we are Thomas and Jennifer Stallmann—former operators of Twin Valley Zoo, a place we built with love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to the animals in our care.
For over a decade, the zoo was more than a business to us—it was our life’s work and our home. Every animal had a name, a story, and a place in our hearts. We were deeply involved in their daily care, their wellbeing, and their futures.
Three years ago, everything changed.
Unfortunate family dynamics, along with an aging mother, led to Thomas’s siblings forcing us out of the zoo and our home.
Since then, we have been fighting tirelessly through the legal system.
Over the last little while, we have received increasing reports and firsthand accounts that raise serious concerns about the care, safety, and wellbeing of the animals and staff.
This has been heartbreaking for us, and incredibly difficult to witness from a distance, without the ability to intervene directly.
We have been sharing our journey on social media through Saving Twin Valley Nature Park (Instagram) and Saving Twin Valley Zoo (TikTok), where we continue to raise awareness. Please consider following along.
This fight is not just about us—it is about the animals, the land, and the legacy of Thomas’s father, Tony.
Thomas has operated the zoo since 2012, after his father was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Both of his parents asked him to move in, take over the zoo, and make it his own. With the entire family’s knowledge, they willed it to him to solidify that promise and formally document the agreement.
This GoFundMe has been created to support the growing legal costs associated with our case, as well as to help us continue our advocacy efforts.
These funds will go directly toward:
• Ongoing legal fees
• Raising public awareness
• Supporting efforts to ensure proper care for the animals
We believe deeply that the truth matters. We believe that animals deserve consistent, compassionate care. And we believe that, with the right support, we can make things right again.
We understand that not everyone may be able to donate—and that’s completely okay.
Sharing our story, spreading awareness, following our social media, and helping amplify the voices of those who care about these animals, means just as much.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, and for standing with us in whatever way you can.
The animals don’t have a voice.
Help us be theirs.
With gratitude, love, and light,
Thomas & Jennifer Stallmann
