Hello!! I am a co-worker, who works with, the mother of Shamarion. This fundraiser is for her baby, in hopes of raising money, to help with expenses, due to her 13 year old child, in need of a heart!
This beautiful hardworking mother, works with me in a nursing home, for people with dementia. Her love and caring heart does not stop when she leaves home, she shows us a beautiful, hard working, free spirit, that is strong willed, despite her current circumstances.
Shamarion, is her 13 year old son. He is a mild mannered pre-teen, who loves to help with his younger brother and big sister. He is kind, loving and very compassionate.
Shamarion loves to play sports, especially basketball, and fortnight online live with his friends . This child`s life was changed in December of 2018, when Shamarion started complaining of not feeling well. His mother noticed his eyes, being dark yellow in color, so she took to the doctor, later testing concluded, a heart Murmur at the age 9.
Shamarion was immediately air lifted from the Wichita, Ks to the Children`s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. It was at this moment everything changed and marked the future for this strong, courageous child and his family. After running more test and weeks and months of worrying , the doctor diagnosed Shamarion with CARDIOMYOPATHY-
Cardiomyopathy is a rare chronic heart condition that involves the deterioration of the heart muscle. The heart muscle becomes abnormally enlarged and thickened and stiffened. Eventually, the heart is unable to pump effectively and cannot supply the body with enough blood .
Despite all the changes with Shamarion, he remains positive, even though, this has been devastating to him and his family. Shamarion can not live the same life he was accustomed to. It's hard for him to be brave, when faced with all that he is seeing and experiencing. Shamarion`s Mother and Father have been a strong rock for him and his sibling, but it`s difficult being brave and courageous, when you are worried about keeping the lights on.
Being brave and courageous is extremely difficult when trying to fight the UNKNOWN and its right in your face. The challenges of how your going to cover last minute expenses, like food, gas, or somewhere to stay or medical expenses, is rough and stressful
Lets all come together and try to help Shamarion and his family! Lets help boost confidence for this family while they travel back and fourth down the highway, for sometimes, weeks at a time.
Please help this family by offering them courage and confidence that they will get through this.
Shamarion will go back to Kansas City, Mo to the Children`s Mercy Hospital in June 2021.
I would like to help this family raise $10,000 before he goes. This amount will cover much needed medical expenses, food, hotels and most importantly, medical fees. associated with his possible procedure.
