Due to recent events, we are having to raise funds again in order to keep our doors open. Since moving in 2024, we have consistently hit almost every possible issue there could be which has repeatedly caused us to fall off track. While we have been through it repeatedly, we have tried to stay focused on the true goal of keeping NBT open in support of the music and creative arts scene in Columbia. Earlier this year we started to succumb to the weight of unrealistic liquor liability insurance costs, a mountain of rent and operational debt due to focus on last years tax debt, and a slow rising economic struggle which has affected the touring industry as a whole. We have tried to handle this on our own by just hard work, cycling through small loans through our POS accounts and we have made it really far - but unfortunately that plan did not succeed and we are left with only 2 options - raise funds or close.

Our goal of $50,000 is to cover an immediate demand of rent of $30,000 + fixing our current alcohol license and insurance issues, bills, and anything else for that matter currently pulling us down. For transparency this rent amount is not all we owe, but is enough to keep us going while we pay the remainder on our own or maintain proper revenue until we can get approved for an actual business loan. Since we changed ownership in 2024 - actual business loans have been basically impossible to acquire but are more realistic going into the new year which is all we have been waiting for until now.

We do have a fundraiser show currently in the works for November 29th that will be a free / donation based show - but due to the rent demand being required to be paid by December 1st - we have to start this gofundme now to help reach our goal.
