Dear Family and Friends,
We recently learned that a dear family friend has been undergoing expensive medical treatment for a life threatening condition. As his wife and 5 children are trying to grapple with the medical and emotional implications of his condition, they have already stretched themselves greatly, depleting their resources, to pay for the first part of treatment. They now have to turn to their family, friends, community and beyond to raise the remaining $50,000. The next payment of $25,000 is due the end of February! We are part of a small group trying to help them raise the money in time.
We can honestly attest to this family's genuine warmth and generosity as we have been recipients of their heartfelt kindness many times. Since helping them to raise this money in such a short time frame is a formidable task, we are asking our friends and family if they would like to help.
Since this mitzvah would be contributing to saving a life, we are suggesting a $36 donation from anyone who wants to help us reach this goal. However, please feel free to donate whatever (or as much as) you can. Thank you so much for your consideration. We REALLY appreciate it.
