Hi, My name is Rik and I am an aspiring director and cinematographer currently studying at UCSD. I have made a few films in the past but have suffered from a lack of a budget. I try and make it work but often time things fall short due to having no funding outside of my savings account. A slightly larger budget would allow me to invest in better equipment for the film I am working on called The Boy Who Races Trains. It is a short character drama that explores the determination of a young man who, despite failing to achieve his goal, never gives up even when his body starts falling apart. With the funds raised, I would be able to rent a better camera and lenses to give it a professional look. My past films have all been successful in local film festivals, but my hopes with this upcoming film include better film festivals worldwide. I appreciate anything I can get and promise to use every penny to its fullest extent to produce a film we all can be proud of.
