Hi friends and family, my name is Yuni and I'm posting this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friend Sonja (Sonni). Her parents Jon and Christine have lost their home due to Hurricane Helene. Because they would never ask for help for themselves, we are doing it for them. This will be a great lesson for them in community love and support, in which they have provided to others from this home for decades.

This record-breaking storm surge demolished their home and vehicles, from massive flooding. Her parents and their cat were safely evacuated, and that's great news; however, they will have to rebuild everything they have worked so hard for and will need all the help they can get. I'm hoping we can come together and contribute anything we can in the efforts to help get them back on their feet.

At this point, they will go back to what's left of their home to salvage what they can. Again, the floods from the surge were a record high so I can't imagine much will be salvageable. For this reason, they will need basic necessities... food, clothes, shelter. Insurance will fight this because they might consider the cause as flood, which they don’t want to cover.

Since this post will reach most of our friends and families who do not reside in Florida, monetary contributions will be the most helpful at this time. Thank you for all the beautiful support that has come through. ♥️
