Freshwater Studies in Costa Rica
Dear potential donor,
Hello! My name is Eillie. (: I am a first generation lower middle class college student pursuing my associates degree in Freshwater Studies, and double as a student employee.
Starting when I was a little kid, I've had an unparalled fascination with aquatic life and the dynamics of such ecosystems, and since then have decided to make a career out of it.
With that said, I am required to partake in an internship this summer (2016) for my degree, and it's the last thing I need to complete before I can take the next step toward my bachelors!
Never traveling outside the United States (or anywhere really), my ultimate goal and the purpose of this campaign is to accompany a few members of my program to Costa Rica, where we will be doing environmental research and projects with students from Earth University.
Recently, I have been awarded scholarships for my hard work that total about $3,000. However, I'm still short about $1,500 worth of trip costs, and my deadline of May 1st, 2016 is rapidly approaching.
Please help me afford the experience of a lifetime and the ability to study one of the greenest countries in the world, with a university that has been nominated for a nobel prize! Even if you don't have much, every little bit helps, and I couldn't be more greatful.
Thank you so much!
