Chris's Stroke Recovery

Story

On January 29th, Chris Sikon at the age of 29, experienced a massive brain stem stroke. As he was eating lunch at work, his blood pressure went up severely high and in the matter of seconds Chris was vomiting, seizing, and eventually passed out. Chris was quickly taken to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox where doctors said that he will not make it. His family and friends were told to say their last goodbyes. His family made the difficult decision to transfer him to Northwestern hospital to give him his best shot at survival despite the risk of the transfer. Chris was in a coma for three weeks before he miraculously woke up. Chris is now at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab where he is making progress everyday, shocking all staff members and doctors. Although Chris is a light in this world and his positive attitude keeps him going everyday, he still has a long road to recovery ahead of him. Any donation towards Chris’s recovery would be greatly appreciated. All donations will be funded towards Chris’s medical bills while he fights to get back up on his feet. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity.
