Frank Power, an 18-year-old, down-to-earth young man from Yucca Valley, California.
In his senior year of high school, he had goals and ambitions to obtain his high school diploma and join the Army.
But Frank’s life changed in one split second.
Frank was riding on the back of his friend’s dirt bike when they collided with a car.
Frank suffered major, non-life-threatening injuries. He was airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center, where doctors found his ankle, hip, and pelvic area severely damaged.
Despite the trauma, doctors and nurses have been amazed by Frank’s optimism and positive attitude.
Frank will now face life with a below-the-knee amputation and will begin the journey of physical and occupational therapy. Though his original plans may have changed, he humbly reflects on his life with gratitude and remains focused on his recovery.
One split second is all it takes. As Christians, we know that tomorrow is not promised.
We believe that God spared his life that day, and that Frank will become an incredible influence to all those around him.
God: ‘Frankie, your faith has been tested, and I see it’s strong. Walk with me going forward in your healing and future. We have a long path ahead.’
Frankie: ‘God, how can I walk with you? They have taken my foot.
God: ‘Frankie, come, lean on me. I am always with you, and my feet will be your feet. Our journey is going to be a long one.’
We’ve been asked How You Can Help -
Frank is asking for assistance as he will be navigating a long road ahead filled with medical, therapy, and prosthetic expenses.
A trust fund in Frank’s name has been established, and all donations are greatly appreciated.
Thank you and God Bless.
