Hi everyone,
My name is Shana Davis and while I live in the U.S., Jamaica will always be my second home. As a proud Jamaican-American, my heart is with my friends, family, and community back home who’ve been devastated by Hurricane Melissa. I cannot sit in comfort of my own home and watch them suffer without any call to action.
Many families in St. James and surrounding areas have lost everything — their homes, belongings, and sense of safety. I’ve already started sending barrels of supplies directly to my friends and family to bring some hope and relief, but I know the need goes far beyond my immediate circle.
That’s why I’m expanding this effort to help the wider community — not just my loved ones, but the people who have no one else to turn to. The government is trying to provide support, but unfortunately, the relief isn’t reaching everyone equally. Too many are still waiting for help.
I’ve teamed up with JA Member of Parliament Ms. Nekeisha Burchell and Hidden Corners of Jamaica to make sure your donations go directly into the hands of those who need it most. Together, we’ll provide essential supplies, help rebuild homes, and remind people that they are not alone.
Every single dollar helps — no donation is too small. Your support will go a long way in helping families get back on their feet and restoring hope to the beautiful island that has given the world so much love and culture. Donated funds will be used to buy and ship barrels filled with daily necessities from NY to Montego Bay, St James. In addition to this, funds will be used to purchase supplies and materials to begin rebuilding homes and John Hall school in Montego Bay.
Please join me in this mission to rebuild, restore, and bring back hope to Jamaica.
Let’s show what real community and love look like — across oceans and borders.
Thank you for your generosity and prayers. One love always
